Large 4to, original custom embossed textured covers of coral red papier maché, title on upper cover, monogram on spine, [92] pp., 21 tipped-in color plates, 42 photogravures with tissue guards. One of 492 copies “printed upon Japan paper for private distribution” of this sumptuous volume produced by Tiffany himself. This magnificent edition is signed by Louis Comfort Tiffany, “To Thomas W. Bladen/ Xmas 1926/Louis C. Tiffany”. According to the preface, Tiffany compiled this volume at the urging of his children. Most copies were distributed for promotional purposes. Included are chapters on Tiffany’s paintings, stained glass, favrile glass, enamels and jewelry, interior decoration, architecture, and landscape architecture. An important volume documenting Tiffany’s dazzling and wide-ranging accomplishments in the decorative arts. Included are a Christmas envelope addressed to Bladen and two seperate period business cards of Tiffany as “MR. LOUIS C. TIFFANY ” and ” MR. TIFFANY” with his address.
