JAMES DEAN SIGNS WITH HIS AGENT IN 1953, THE YEAR HE WOULD STAR IN EAST OF EDEN
James Dean’s representation agreement with his agent, Jane Deacy, dated 13 March 1953. This was the very year of Dean’s big Hollywood break when he was cast to play the role of Cal in the adaption of Steinbeck’s book, EAST OF EDEN. This extremely rare six page contract is boldly signed ”James Dean” on the last page by Dean in bright blue fountain pen, and also initialed on the first page in black fountain pen.
